As you know, yesterday we began our journey to Kansas City! All the SkillsUSA participants were supposed to wear their uniforms while traveling to the airport, but our advisers made us special 80's themed t-shirts so that we didn't have to!
Our flight took us to Las Vegas, where we were very entertained by seeing the slot machines that filled the airport.
We then got on a flight to Kansas City! We took a bus to our hotel where we were fed cookies. They were just those Costco cookies, but they were so amazingly delicious! Were we just starving, or did the humidity there enhance the moistness of those delicious cookies? I don't know, but they were amazing!
Even though it was late at night by that point, Chris, Chris, Jeff, and I took a trip over to Pancho's; the Mexican restaurant Eths has told us about so many times. He said it was the worst Mexican food ever, and that the taco salad he ordered was basically just soup! Jeff and I thought the enchiladas were pretty good, though.
Speaking of Jeff, he wore his poncho for the occasion!
We were exhausted by then, and went back to our hotel for a good night's rest. Read more about our Kansas City adventures tomorrow!
