Raspberry Freezer Jam

Today I am going to share with you guys a very special recipe!  Actually, it is just a recipe that we've gotten out of a box of pectin, but my mom has made it ever since I can remember and it is delicious!  It is for raspberry jam and we have to make four batches at a time to keep us in stock for a year.

Okay, so first you need your raspberries.  We suggest that you get them farm fresh - they really aren't as good from the grocery store!

Then crush them up!  You need exactly 3 cups of crushed raspberries.

Then stir in 5 1/4 c. sugar.  Once that is all stirred up, let is sit for 10 minutes.

When the 10 minutes is almost up, get your box of pectin and mix it up with 3/4 c. water.  Bring it to a boil and let it boil for 1 minute.

Then stir it in your fruit mix.  Keep stirring for 3 minutes!

Then you are done!  Pour it into your (perfectly clean) containers, leaving a little bit of room at the top for expansion.

Yay!  Leave them at room temperature for 24 hours, then you are free to freeze or refrigerate them as you'd like!
