Never before have I been so surrounded by things I disapprove of. This place goes against every value that I have, and to the extremes. It targets human weaknesses - sex, money, and even food - which is really demoralizing and I don't know how a lot of these people can respect themselves. It is disgusting and yet so genius at the same time. I have to commend the people behind all this for knowing exactly how to draw people in and take their money.
As for me, though I'm continuously horrified by what's going on around me, the combination of everything makes me just accept it all and even appreciate this place they call Sin City.
Bailey and I have had so much fun exploring The Strip!
We had to take two days to walk through everything, because there was so much to see. So much, but at the same time, nothing at all haha! I mean, when it comes down to it, there's really nothing to see other than casinos and shopping malls, but we loved seeing the setup of each individual building. People are so creative!
Caesar's Palace was probably the most impressive casino, in my opinion. But it may be just because I love ancient Rome! It is fun that I'm in an art history class, because I was able to identify lots of the replicas. It wasn't mindblowing or anything to see, just because they were replicas and the real thing would be much more impressive, but it was a lot of fun to explore!
The eating was good, too. We ate some really delicious food, including amazing Mexican food and Bobby's Burgers (as pictured below). We even went to a buffet! I'm such a foodie - I'm so for over-indulging on food. The buffet was a lot of fun, we went with Bailey's parents as well as his bishop which I find extremely amusing. Bailey and I ate enough to get everyone's money's worth out of that place. In fact, they probably lost money on us. But we couldn't stop eating all that crab! We were so into it, we forgot to get a picture.
What a fun place to spend the weekend! I have a few more things I want to tell you about, but as for The Strip itself that about covers it. I feel like we saw all that there is to see for two non-partiers, and a weekend was about perfect (I don't know what we'd do with more time).
And I will say that it wasn't as sketchy as I thought it would be. I mean yeah, people are trying to hand you naked lady cards every ten feet you walk, but if you just ignore them and not look at all the ones fallen on the ground, you're actually pretty good. Oh, and avert your eyes from the ladies that are dressed up as elves, because for some reason they think that elves don't wear pants which is just ridiculous.
